So recently I've picked up a new hobby... or you can say obsession. I've been purchasing old vintage cameras. And I gotta say, for a guy who's just starting to learn how to shoot film manually, it's pretty stupid of me to be shelling out the bucks and purchasing equipment that I'm not familiar with. I would have been just fine with my first purchase of the Canon AE-1 35mm camera, but now I've purchased a few more to add to my collection. I went from purchasing old cameras made in the 70s, to now purchasing cameras made in the late 50s which are so hard to use! I'm pretty sure I'm going to waste a bunch of film just testing it out. O'well.. I am really falling in love with film.. I mean digital is cool and all, but there's something about film that I can't explain.. and that photoshop (or iphones!!) can't manipulate..
I present you 2 more additions to my small but growing collection of cameras =)
Argus C-3 Match-Matic 35mm made in 1958 (AKA The Harry Potter Camera)
Yashica-Mat LM Medium Format TLR Camera made in 1958 as well
And this is what a TRL view finder looks like from above
And BTW, I made a deal with my friend that I would not be purchasing anymore cameras (actually purchasing anything I don't need) for the next 4 months because I have an obsession with buying these things. Failure to do so will result in me having to dress like a girl and hang out with my friend the whole day wherever she goes. That does not sound like fun and is certainly not cool.........
